Jesse & Katie Belore's Princeton Farms welcomed its first foal of 2024 on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
The foal is a healthy and vibrant colt, named Speed Me Up upon birth at 9 p.m. The colt is by Green Manalishi S out of the Cantab Hall mare Stop And Search, whose dam is a full sister to the Valley Victory trot winner and $600,000 earner Possess The Will.
Speed Me Up, the first of 50 expected foals at the Princeton, Ont. nursery this season, was welcomed by Farm Manager Amber Lawson and named by Connor and Sawyer Belore after one of their favourite movies, Sonic The Hedgehog.
Princeton Farms plans to post more photos of Speed Me Up, one of Canada's first foals of 2024, on its Facebook page where followers can stay updated with his journey, and keep up with the happenings of the farm.
