In a rather bizarre story from across the pond, it has been reported that a former head groom recently left her millionaire fiancé in grand fashion, as she stole his £100,000 horse trailer that she had loaded with £300,000 worth of Thoroughbreds.

As a report by The Daily Mail explains, the former groom in question, a 29-year-old by the name of Sam Burbidge, stole the trailer and stock while her fiancé, Adrian Bayford, was visiting his ex-wife and two children.

Bayford had previously been employed as a head groom in a stable that had been located close to Bayford’s former home. Bayford ended up divorcing his wife, and met Burbidge a few months later before the duo got engaged.

Bayford went on to purchase a £1.5 million, 35-acre equine facility for his soon-to-be wife’s showjumping passions, event though he did not have any interest for the horses or sport himself.

The report states that Burbidge’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

In 2012, Bayford and his then-wife won £148 million in the Euromillions lottery.
