thanks to the exploits of the multi-talented three-year-old pacing colt Well Said.
Snyder and Grange’s Well Said enjoyed a breathtaking sophomore campaign which saw him assemble a 10-0-1 record and bank just over $2 million in just 14 trips behind the starting gate. He took his 1:47.3 speed badge at the Meadowlands in the $1 million final of the Meadowlands Pace after setting the track record at Mohawk Racetrack just three weeks earlier when he blazed over the Campbellville, ON oval in 1:48.1 in the $1.5 million final of the Pepsi North America Cup.
The son of Artsplace-Must see also registered victories in the $500,000 Battle of the Brandywine, the $136,153 Simcoe Stakes and a straight-heats sweep of the Little Brown Jug in Delaware, Ohio.
At the conclusion of his award-winning season, Well Said joined the star-studded roster of stallions at Hanover Shoe Farms’ famed nursery in Hanover, Pennsylvania. He stands for a service fee of $15,000.
Well Said along with the Bulletproof Enterprises’ If I Can Dream were finalists in the Three-Year-Old Colt Pacer of the Year category until an announcement was made on Friday by the O’Brien Award Committee as a direct result of a ruling released by the Ontario Racing Commission on Thursday which resulted in the immediate suspension of Bulletproof Enterprises.
