Hot Flash Kimmy rolled to her third straight victory, easily winning Wednesday’s (Jan. 3) Opening Day feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $16,447 conditioned trot.
Hot Flash Kimmy zipped to the lead from post two for Ronnie Wrenn Jr. The four-year-old daughter of Lookslikeachpndale-Hortop Temper deflected the first-over challenge of Dover Gilde and kept the pocket-sitting Easy Rider at bay, defeating him by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:55.4. Dover Glide persevered for show.
Michael Burke trains Hot Flash Kimmy for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. It was one of four wins for Wrenn — including a pair for Burke — on the 13-race Opening Day card.
Live harness racing at The Meadows continues on Thursday, Jan. 4. The track’s winter schedule features live racing each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through March, with first post at 12:45 p.m. each day.
