Trot Insider has received an update from Kawartha Downs in regard to the Tuesday, January 19 accident which involved drivers Dagfin Henriksen and Scott Cisco and horses No Average Luck and Medoland Griffey

.

The incident, which took place in Race 10, saw the pocket-sitting No Average Luck (driven by Henriksen) try to gain ground by splitting between Owen More (Keith Jones) and Dragoninthesky (Aaron Byron) in deep stretch; but No Average Luck, trained by Jim Skelhorn, appeared to strike the left sulky wheel of Owen More when attempting the move.

As a result, No Average Luck fell to the ground and was right into the path of Medoland Griffey and driver Cisco. As a result, Cisco was then catapulted from his race bike into the air.

As reported last night by Trot Insider, Cisco and both of the horses involved in the accident came away with no major injuries.

Kawartha Downs has confirmed that Henriksen was transported to Peterborough Hospital for precautionary reasons and that he was stitched up for a gash on his leg and treated for a sore ankle.

Trot Insider will update this story if more information becomes available.
