Winbak Farm has welcomed its first foals of 2023, with foals recently arriving at the Maryland and Ontario locations.

On Sunday, Jan. 15, Winbak Farm of Maryland's first foal, the My MVP-Blazing Fuchsia filly (pictured on the right) was born at 4:20 p.m. This is the first foal for Blazing Fuchsia, a half-sister to 46-time winner Flashy Lady, 1:54.2f ($411,231).

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, Winbak Farm of Canada welcomed its first foal, the Shadow Play-Twin B Cheeks colt (pictured on the left) at 8:15 a.m. He is a half-brother to 2022 OSS Grassroots Final elimination winner, Twin Delight, p, 2, 1:53.4s -'22; BT1:51.3s-'22 ($62,626).

Both broodmares and their foals are doing well.

Visit the Winbak Farm's Facebook page to submit name ideas for these foals. Many foals will be posted this season for fans to have a chance to name a future racehorse. Several names have been used in recent years.
