Betty Clegg and Jeff Nisonger will receive the Ohio Racing With The Stars award as the top trainer and driver on the Ohio county fair racing circuit in 2023 at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Annual Banquet on Saturday, Jan. 13.
Clegg led all Ohio trainers with 61 fair wins last summer. In 2023, she had 92 winners overall with earnings of $934,953.
Nisonger won 90 Ohio fair races last year. Overall in 2023, he won 108 races and earned $842,790.
Clegg and Nisonger will be honoured at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Annual Awards Banquet on Jan. 13, 2024 at the Marriott Columbus OSU in Columbus, Ohio. Tickets to the banquet are $30 each and can be purchased by calling the association's office at 614-221-3650.
