The four-year-old Il Sogno Dream stallion Thirdtimesthedream scored an 11-1 upset in the $10,000 featured trot at Flamboro Downs on Sunday night (Feb. 26).

Driver Bruce Richardson sat third with Thirdtimesthedream while Lucas NL took the lead by a :28.2 first quarter and raced uncontested to a :58.1 half. Jessiejesorjessica charged out of fourth in the backstretch to press the leader to three-quarters in 1:27.3 and forged to a narrow lead around the final turn. Richardson ranged towards the top with Thirdtimesthedream and swooped by Jessiejessorjessica off the bottom turn to take the lead. He extended the margin through the lane to win by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:57 with Jessiejesorjessica second, pocket-sitter Sicario in third and Starlit Elmo taking fourth.

James Ellis owns and trains Thirdtimesthedream, an 11-time winner from 33 starts and an earner of $50,756. His homebred paid $24.80 to win.
