Miss Rockadali Rolls In Flamboro Preferred

Winter racing at Flamboro Downs

The seven-year-old Dali mare Miss Rockadali ripped to the lead and never let go in progress to a 1:56.4 victory in the $13,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Flamboro Downs on Thursday night (Dec. 22).

Driver Tyler Borth pushed Miss Rockadali towards the top to clear control past a :27.3 first quarter from Beach Moment, who bolted from post seven to the lead. Miss Rockadali snagged a breather to a :57.3 half and faced pressure into the backside from favourite Coz Im Special. Past three-quarters in 1:26.1, Miss Rockadali kept chugging off the final turn while Coz Im Special stalled spinning for home. Miss Rockadali coasted to the finish to win by a diminishing length over So Frisky, who flew off cover for second. My Mother Pearl finished third and Coz Im Special faded to fourth.

Trained by Clifford McGuire for owner Nancy McGuire, Miss Rockadali won her 30th race from 160 starts and has now earned $287,731. She paid $6.20 to win.
