Power And Grace Repeats At Flamboro

Winter racing at Flamboro Downs

Odds-on choice Power And Grace took the lead and controlled to the end to win again in the $13,000 Preferred Trot at Flamboro Downs on Sunday night (Dec. 11).

Driver Brett MacDonald motored the seven-year-old Holiday Road mare to the lead and faced little challenge after a :28.2 first quarter. She stole a 1:00.1 half and scooted to a two-length lead to three-quarters in 1:29.2 to then seal the deal with a length victory in 1:59.3 over pocket-sitter Darkangeldesbois F. Bastiano moved first over to the final turn but gave chase for third and Oh Lina rode the pylons for fourth.

Ronald MacDonald trains Power And Grace for owners Hartel Maintenance Inc. and Lormer McClure. She won her 45th race from 139 starts and has now banked $387,744. Power And Grace paid $3.60 to win.
