Impressive Dude Wins Prospect Series At Georgian

Impressive Dude won the $7,100 Prospect Series for two-year-old colts and geldings at Georgian Downs on Saturday (August 20). 

Impressive Dude, driven by Jason Ryan, got away fourth from the gate. He sat in this position through fractions of :29.1 and 1:01.2 before pulling first over at the half. He challenged the favourite Oceanview Massey (Tyler Borth) for the top through the three-quarter pole in 1:31.4. At the wire, Prestige Duharas (Loic Gueriel) stepped forward and it was a photo for the finish. Impressive Dude came out on top in 2:01.2 by a head over Prestige Duharas with Oceanview Massey rounding out the triactor.

Jean Tourigny trains the two-year-old colt by My Mvp, out of the Striking Sahbra mare Strikingimpression, for owners Louis-Philippe Roy, Michel Letarte, and Jean Allaire. The victory brings Impressive Dude's tally to two wins in two lifetime starts with $7,050 in career earnings and a new fastest time of 2:01.2.
