Campbell Within Reach Of CDP Record

Reinsman Marc Campbell is only four wins away from establishing a new record for most driving wins in a single season at Red Shores' Charlottetown Driving Park

.

The 27-year-old pilot will be in action Saturday afternoon during the 12-race program at CDP. First-race post time is 1:00 p.m.

Campbell is chasing the record of 118 wins, set by Paul MacDonald in 1987. Campbell is schedule to be driving in 10 CDP races Saturday, including the afternoon feature aboard Carnivore.

The chase for the top driver in the 'Mr. Trot Challenge' is also tight between Campbell and Mark Cullen. Cullen has a two-point lead with 157, while Willie Murphy currently sits third with 148 points. They all have live drives in the trot class in Race 3, but their toughest challenge will be morning line favourite Napanee Seelster from Post 3. Danny MacDonald, who competed in the annual driver’s championship last week, will handle the driving duties.
