.

Fresh off a disappointing finish in the Frank Ryan Memorial at Rideau Carleton Raceway, Define The World got his act together and rebounded with an eye-catching victory for the loyal tandem of driver Paul MacDonell and trainer John Bax.

MacDonell hustled the six-year-old son of Duke Of York-Venice Holiday to the motor, and the gelding ripped through fractions of :26.4, :55.1 and 1:23.3 before using a :28.1 closing panel to seal the deal as the 9-5 favourite. Frenchfrysnvinegar sat a pocket trip throughout the mile and finished 1-1/2 lengths in arrears, with third prize going to Jersey AS.

Al Libfeld of Pickering, ON bred and owns the OSS graduate, who improved this year’s record to 7-2-2 in 18 tries with the victory. The 31-time winner has put away in excess of $250,000 in earnings this season and $1,589,049 to date.
