The second leg of the Summer Survivor Series went postward on Thursday at the Meadowlands, with a trio of $12,500 divisions on tap

Waldy Jimmy, who was a 1:51.1 winner in leg one of the series, motored to the front in tonight’s assignment and successfully threw down panels of :27, :55.2 and 1:24 en route to a 1-3/4 lengths score over Tyler Hanover in 1:51.3. Lettherockbegin tagged along throughout the mile and rallied to finish third.

Tim Tetrick mapped out the winning trip for the Linda Toscano pupil, who was sent off as the 1-5 favourite. The three-year-old son of Yankee Cam-Shannon Déjà vu, who is owned by Ron MacArthur of Boynton Beach, FL, now boasts a 9-1-1 record from 14 starts this season.

Sea Venture did the road work in the second division, and that trip tactic paid off handsomely for the Tony Alagna trainee. Simon Allard rolled the three-year-old son of Western Terror-Bermuda Babe through fractions of :29, :56.4 and 1:25 before finishing off the competition with a :28.2 closing panel. The gelding won by 4-3/4 lengths over Great Dragon in 1:53.2, with Docs Hoss grabbing the show dough.

After going 2-for-11 last season, Sea Venture has put together a 2-1-0 in her first five starts of the 2011 for the partnership of Tony Alagna, John Fodera, Martha Frank and Steven Wienick.

Rockem was a 1:52.1 winner in the opening leg of the series for trainer Casie Coleman, and he came back to take his second leg assignment, as well, for driver David Miller. The three-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover-Dont Toy With Me watched RU Ready To Rock thrown down fractions of :27.3, :55.4 and 1:24.1 before taking over command and drawing clear to win by 1-1/4 lengths as the even-money favourite. Morality closed to finish second, while RU Ready To Rock faded late and wound up third.

The victory was the third consecutive score for Rockem, who is 3-for-5 this season for owner Jeffrey Snyder of New York, NY.

The Summer Survivor Series continues with a $15,000 third leg on June 16 and culminates in an estimated $100,000 final on July 2.
