To say that driver George Brennan and trainer Lou Pena had a big night at Yonkers Raceway on Thursday evening would be an understatement. They completely dominated the St. Patrick’s night 12-race program

.

The white-hot trainer/driver duo joined forces to win half of the program, with the winning beginning in Race 2 with See Through It (2:05.3). Brennan and Pena then clicked with Lady Jay (2:03.4) in Race 3, Marion Miss Julie (2:03.2) in Race 6, Dvcflyingfrenchman (1:59) in Race 9, Jazz Band (2:00.3) in Race 10 and Lightning Dragon (2:01.3) in Race 12.

Pena, who has already sent out more than 100 winners this season while banking in excess of $1.2 million along the way, enjoyed an unbelievable season in 2010 winning 525 races while raking in more than $7.2 million with the horses he sent to the track.

Brennan, who guided home winners in excess of $12.6 million last year while winning 622 races, also put up career-best totals for wins and money earnings in 2010. He has already sat behind winners of more than $1.6 million this season and his six-win night at the office helped push this year’s win total to 133.
