On Friday, September 9, a total of nine three-year-old pacing fillies were entered to contest the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold eliminations which were scheduled to be raced Tuesday, September 13 at Mohawk Racetrack

.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elim will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold eliminations for three-year-old pacing fillies which was scheduled for September 13 at Mohawk has now been cancelled. The $40,000 purse for the Gold elim will be added to the regular purse for the final, thus making the total purse for the Gold final $170,000.

The Gold final will be raced on Tuesday, September 20 as scheduled, and the post positions will be drawn on Tuesday, September 13 (when the final would normally have been drawn).

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the nine horses that had been entered to contest the event.
