Officials with the Meadows have announced that the track's live program of harness racing scheduled for Friday (September 9) has been cancelled
.
The track is continuing to repair damage to the racing surface which was caused by heavy, persistent rain. A decision will be announced later today on the status of qualifying races scheduled for Saturday morning.
The Meadows will remain open for simulcasting.
Live racing at the track is set to resume Monday, September 12 when the Meadows will host the three-year-old championships for the Pennsylvania Stallion Series.
