TCNHC Qualifiers On Deck This Weekend

This weekend, Flamboro Downs will be hosting its first of three qualifying events for the 2011 edition of the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship, which features an estimated grand prize of $25,000

.

Flamboro will host a 'survivor-style' contest this Sunday (September 11). Registration will open at 5:00 p.m. and the contest will kick off with the track's first race, which will head postward at 6:00 p.m.

The winner of Sunday’s event will receive entry into the TCNHC --- scheduled for Saturday, November 12 at the Western Fair District --- plus $100 across the board on a horse of their choice, and a dinner party for 4 at Flamboro.

If you can’t make it out to Flamboro on Sunday, it’s not too late to take part in SC’s online Canadian Yearling Sale Qualifier. Participants are required to select 10 yearlings from the online catalogue. The person that chooses the 'stable' of yearlings which brings the highest total collection of bids at the Canadian Yearling Sale on September 10 and 11 at Flamboro Downs will win a coveted spot in the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship.
