Officials with the Hiawatha Horse Park have announced that entries for the track's End Of Season Claiming Series are due Thursday, September 8
.
The series features both a colt and gelding and a filly and mare division for claiming pacers. The entry fee for the series is $100.
There will be a $12,000 (added) final and $6,000 (added) consolation if enough entries are received.
The claiming tag in the first leg of the series will be $4,000, while the claiming tag in the second leg of the series will be $5,000
The preliminary legs of the colt and gelding division will be raced on September 17 and 24. The final will be contested October 1.
The preliminary legs of the filly and mare division will be raced on September 22 and 29. The final will be contested October 6.
