Aged Pacing Mares Set To Spar Again

Atlantic Aged Mares Pacing Series action will kick up once again on Saturday (September 19) at Red Shores’ Charlottetown Driving Park, as a pair of divisions are set to go postward.

The $3,265 first division (Race 7) will see a field of five starters face the gate. The morning line oddsmaker has given Cammibest mare Best Risque (PP4, Clare MacDonald, 5-2) the early nod. The eight-year-old is trained by Brian Ladner. The 40-time career winner has made six trips to the winner’s circle this year and has banked over $18,000 in purses this season.

The second division (Race 12) also carries a purse of $3,265, but will feature a field of six. It is no surprise that Ramblinglily (PP4, Walter Cheverie, 5-2) has been installed as the morning line favourite. The five-year-old Articulator mare will be in search of her seventh consecutive victory on Saturday. Co-owner Allan Jones trains the winner of more than $13,000 in purses.
