Looking for something to do away from the Delaware County Fairgrounds during Grand Circuit week, try the 'A Show of Horses' art show at the Ross Art Museum on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University in downtown Delaware.

“A Show of Horses” features the paintings of Nancy B. Frank (OWU Class of ’71) and the sculpture of Lynda Sappington, and select paintings and prints from the Harness Racing Hall of Fame. Frank spent time at The Little Brown Jug and has created large scale portraits of the horses who compete in the pacing classic.

On Thursday, September 15, Nancy Frank will give a Gallery Talk at 5:00 p.m., to be followed by a Reception from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. featuring refreshments, live music, and an appearance by a retired Standardbred horse on the museum grounds.

The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The museum is handicap-accessible and admission is always free. Call (740) 368-3606 or visit http://ross.owu.edu for more information.
