Mr Bower rides a commanding five-race win streak into Thursday night at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park as Lady Slipper action is in town.

First race post time is 6:30 p.m. for the 12-dash card featuring five divisions of the Lady Slipper stake for two- and three-year-old trotters and three other overnight trot classes.

The first of three divisions for the two-year-old trotters hits the track in Race Two with Pappy Go Go drawing post two for trainer-driver Marc Campbell and owner Grayland Farm of Nova Scotia. The Tad The Stud gelding was already a winner in 2:04 this season and faces five rivals including Hop Up (Keith Campbell) and Play Along (Trevor Easter).

BJ Lorado headlines the second $5,700 division for two-year-olds in Race Four with Brian MacPhee at the lines for owner-trainer Bert Honkoop of Montague. The two-time winner has post five and will face off with five competitors including Windemerepartyman (Jack Panting) off the rail and Howmacs Survivor (Terry Gallant) from post three.

Race Six has the final two-year-old group with a field of six including divisional leader Wicked Nick (Gary Chappell) from post two against Miss Kennedy (Myles Heffernan) and Just A Little Tad (Corey MacPherson). Chappell trains Wicked Nick for owners Peter Buchanan of North Wiltshire and Cameron Trail of O’Leary.

Mr Bower is the one to beat in his $7,600 three-year-old division in Race 10 with trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault from post three for owner Wade Peconi of Stanchel. A winner in his last five outings, Mr Bower will surely be the post-time favourite as he faces off with Oceanview Pancho (MacPherson) and Cardigan Jack (Campbell).

The other three-year-old split hits the track in Race 8 with Craigh Na Dun drawing clear of Mr Bower for the first time since July 19. He has the rail for driver Jason Hughes, trainer Nick Oakes and owner Buntainwood Farm of Brackley Beach. Craigh Na Dun will attempt to shed his 2016 bridesmaid status against six rivals that include BJ Classic (MacPhee) and Dunmore Ace (Panting).

The program also sees overnight trotting action in races one, five and seven. Race Seven has a field of seven trotters competing for a $1,850 purse with former Charlottetown track record holder Thunderaway favoured off the rail for trainer-driver Jason Hughes and owner Foxyhall Racing of Nova Scotia.
