Alberta Downs' staff and horsemen have volunteered to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge following the last race this Monday, September 1, but they've added a twist you won't want to miss.

Racing fans can donate to the ALS Society of Alberta in the name of the participants they'd like to see get soaked with the biggest bucket. Donations are being accepted at the track until the eighth race on Monday and the participant with the most donations will be completing the challenge using a muck bucket, which holds approximately 18 gallons of water, while the others will use horse water pails (approximately five gallons of water).

Race secretary Raeann Gemmill and horsemen Jamie Gray, Tyler Redwood, Harold Haining and Nathan Sobey will be taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
