Updated: George Horder Passes

Trot Insider has learned that longtime Ontario Racing Commission Judge George Horder has passed away at the age of 77.

Horder passed away at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 22. George was predeceased by his wife, Agnes.

George is the loving father of Debra Collier of Falmouth, NS, Karen Bishop (Frank Noseworthy), his son-in-law Doug Bishop, Brenda Horder, Georgina Horder (Dave Watson) and step daughter Mary-Kay Smith. Forever remembered by his seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Survived by his brother Bill Horder of Kelowna, BC, Gerald Decarie and Michael Decarie (Wendy) of Montreal, QC.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home 114 Main St. E. Milton 905-878-4452 on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service following at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Make A Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
