Hanover Raceway will play host to its 11th annual All Trot card on Saturday night.
Not only does the night include four eliminations of the Balanced Image Trot, but it also includes the 39th annual Walker Memorial Invitation, plus a non-betting Racing Under Saddle dash.
Saturday is also 'Bring A Friend to the Races' night, and Hanover will be holding draws for a tour of the backstretch, drive in the starting car, and a tour of the judges booth, for fans that bring new people to the races on Saturday.
Hanover Raceway General Manager Gord Dougan has added that the track will also be holding a meet and greet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. under the grandstand. Riders in the RUS dash, Hall of Famer Doug Brown, and local drivers J. Harris and Garrett Rooney have agreed to stop by and say 'hi' to local race fans.
Speaking of Hanover's All Trot card, Dougan said that the program is held to help pay tribute to the many great horsepeople and horses that have been developed in midwestern Ontario, including several that have been inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.
