Officials with Vernon Downs have announced that the track will conduct a double draw on Wednesday, August 21 for its Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 programs of racing.
The box will close at 9:00 a.m. and the race office phone number is 315-829-6825.
Chief among the events for the weekend are the $700,000 Zweig Memorial trot, open and filly divisions, which will be raced on Sunday along with the first leg of the 2013 Drivers' Championship.
The Excelsior/State Fair races for two-year-old trotting and pacing colts will be raced on Saturday evening.
First-race post time for both the Saturday and Sunday card is 6:45 p.m.
