Blair Greenfield Passes

Blair Gregory Greenfield, longtime harness racing participant and winner of the 2008 Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship, passed away suddenly on August 11 at the Brantford General Hospital in Brantford, Ont.

at the age of 55.

Predeceased by his loving parents Norman Greenfield (2003) and Florence Greenfield (2011). Dear brother of Jeanette (Jim) Berridge, Norm (Sharon) Greenfield, Judy Beamer (Howard), Barry (Marlene) Greenfield and dearest brother and best friend of his youngest sister Wendy Greenfield. Survived by daughter Kimberley. Dear uncle and friend of Jennifer and Justin Greenfield, Brandyn Beamer, Hadley, Leah and Hannah Greenfield.

Blair was very involved over the past 25 years with the Brant Masters Slo-Pitch League as both a coach and player, and for many years he bowled in the Sunday Sociables Bowling League He was a longtime standardbred owner and breeder (Dunakins), a member of the Paris Horseman’s Association and the Ontario Racing Commission.

Friends will be received at the Hill & Robinson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 30 Nelson Street, on Wednesday, August 17 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, August 18 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
