Bring A Friend will hit the track trotting this weekend, with Fredericton Raceway and Grand River Raceway the first two of twelve participating tracks from July 9 to 12.
Fredericton Raceway will be pulling out all the stops on July 9, kicking off the four-day national Bring a Friend Challenge. Gates at the Fredericton, NB oval will open at 5:00 p.m. with the first race going to post at 6:00 p.m. There will be draws for rides in the starting gate car, winner’s circle presentations and behind-the-scenes tours. They will be offering free programs for the first 50 guests, as well as free $2 bets. Prize draws will take place throughout the card and a handicapping workshop will be onsite to teach novice bettors the tricks of the trade. A driver meet and greet will be hosted trackside, along with face painting and pony rides for the kids.

Bring A Friend moves west the following night to Grand River Raceway with many exciting things in store.
Set in the scenic Elora, Ontario landscape, Grand River Raceway will be the lone track hosting Bring a Friend on Friday, July 10. Known for their exceptional customer-oriented racing experience, they will be offering a wide variety of promotions in conjunction with Bring a Friend with first race going to post at 6:30 p.m. There will be draws for rides in the starting gate car, winner's circle presentations, paddock tours and behind the scenes tours, as well as free $2 bets for the first 50 registered check-ins and prize draws.
Grand River will also be hosting their Fun & Frivolity Friday night as a part of the regular racing program. There will be a wide variety of events taking part in conjunction with the tarmac show, including Exactor Factor, Race 6 Cheerleading Squad and trivia throughout the night. The Price is ALMOST Right will leave three patrons going head to head for a grand prize before the Bouncy Pony Stakes hit the racetrack. Four guests will climb upon one of the inflatable noble steeds in a race to the finish for a $25 betting voucher.
The NEIGHbourhood will be trackside, offering a free, interactive horse education program for kids. The program runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is filled with fun games, activities, a photo in the winner’s circle and crafts. They will also receive a behind-the-scenes barn tour, where they’ll meet a race horse!

Pre-registration for these events closes at 3:00 p.m. the day before the event. Those who pre-register will be entered into a draw to win a prize package worth $200.
