At its meeting on Wednesday, July 30, the Board of the Ontario Racing Commission (ORC) approved a revised SB Rule on qualifying times, effective August 1, 2015.
A release from the ORC states that the change in qualifying times is a response to a shortage of horses which effects field size which then directly impacts the wagering handle. This shortage is being felt at the Grassroots level of racing.
