Its Complicated will be looking for his third win in a row when he faces the gate this evening in Scioto Downs’ $25,000 Open Trot.

The four-year-old gelded son of SJs Caviar out of Before The Rain is trained by Brent Davis of Zanesville, Ohio for Hatfield Stables of Columbus, Ohio.

The winning combination of Its Complicated and Josh Sutton has paid dividends for his connections. He has been victorious in four of his last five outings and has lowered his seasonal mark to 1:53 in the process.

Its Complicated will start from Post 8. He’s the 7-2 second choice behind Fusion Man, who is trained by Jeff Smith. Fusion Man has been second best to Its Complicated in their last two outings and has drawn Post 5. Dan Noble will be in the bike.

Its Complicated has only made 26 lifetime starts and has a lifetime mark of 1:52.4. He has already banked $257,337.00 for his owner and breeder.

The Open trotters will face the gate for Race 5 on Scioto’s 11-dash Friday card. The rest of the field includes Banco Solo for trainer Ron Burke, J J Hall from the Scott Mogan Stable, Southwind Pepino for trainer and driver, Hugh ‘Sandy’ Beatty, War Cry Hall for Scioto Downs’ leading trainer, Virgil Morgan Jr., and Somebody As for Anette Lorentzon.

First race post time is 6:30 for the Friday (July 25) card and racing will continue on Saturday (July 26)
