Running Aces Re-Opens After Shutdown

Published: July 20, 2011 05:37 pm EDT

Officials at Running Aces announced it will be opening its doors to the public effective Thursday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. following a 20-day closure

as part of the State shutdown.

“Our horsemen are extremely grateful that they can begin racing again Saturday night and look forward to a strong finish to the 2011 season,” said Gregg Keidel, Director of Racing. “The loss of three weeks of racing in the middle of the summer was difficult on everyone involved, but we are blessed with a great group of loyal trainers who all hung in there hoping they could remain in Minnesota and help Running Aces continue to grow.”

“As one of our community’s largest employers and a regional economic engine, the closure of our facility has been a serious economic challenge to our employees, our horsemen, our local vendors and our business,” said Robert Farinella, General Manager. “We are looking forward to re-opening and working our way back to providing jobs and top quality gaming entertainment value to our community.”

To show its appreciation to its customers, Running Aces will be offering the following bonuses and giveaways:

Card Room
As a thank you to loyal players and for those that are eager to return to the card room, Running Aces is offering a $10 Free Play to be used on any table games to the first 200 guests that visit Running Aces after we open our doors. Vouchers can be claimed at the Front Desk. Our weekly poker tournaments will continue as scheduled.

Live Racing
Live racing will resume Saturday, July 23 at 7p.m. Running Aces will be hosting a “Back to Live Racing” party featuring a free UV T-shirt giveaway to the first 500 people that purchase a live racing program, along with $3 UV drink specials from 6-9 p.m.

The Winner’s Circle Restaurant and the All In Grill will be open starting July 21 at 10 a.m. The Seafood Buffet will be cancelled until the following Thursday, July 28, but the restaurant will offer the complete dinner menu in it’s place.
