Sylvain Gagnon of Brossard, Quebec, captured this great photo at the Circuit Regionale in Bedford, Quebec last summer.
Gagnon currently works on e-commerce photography, shooting different products for web retail. From April to October he is the track photographer at Hippodrome 3R in Trois Rivieres, and he also does the photography at the Bedford Régional Circuit. Throughout the year he also shoots two-legged races -- marathons.
He doesn’t have a long history of harness racing like some in the industry, but he enjoys capturing racing shots to help promote the industry. His favourite venue is the Bedford Régional Circuit. “I really like that venue with all the trees in the back. It’s very bucolic.”
When he isn’t shooting at one of the three Quebec tracks Gagnon can be found spending time with his family and playing around with his smartphone.
“The smartphone has brought the democratization of photography to the next level; I really enjoy shooting odd stuff like family moments, portraits, bugs, meals and panoramas with the phone.”
