Track Redevelopment Speaker At RTIP Symposium

The Race Track Industry Program today announced that Paul Roberts, UK-based Director of Turnberry Consulting, will address for the first time in a public forum, his perspective on redevelopment strategies for race tracks and racing organizations at the 2012 Global Symposium on Racing & Gaming.

This is not an architectural design or construction 'how to' session, but an in-depth business strategy tutorial that sets up a hypothesis and identifies key issues, all the while utilizing relevant examples to illustrate why success occurs.

“There are similar dynamics found in all great racetracks, both large and small. No matter what the size, or the country for that matter, there are fundamental aspects that are the same and they are the key to what makes these tracks successful. Even though the circumstances, the systems of regulation and the culture are vastly different, the principles that lead to success are the same,” said Roberts. These principles should be of great interest to managers and investors in racing organizations the world over.

Turnberry Consulting is a development strategy company that works primarily with race tracks, stadia, universities and large industry complexes. Their racing projects include Ascot’s extensive redevelopment, as well as work done with York Racecourse in England; Flemington Racecourse in Australia; Leopardstown Races in Ireland and the New York Racing Association in the United States.
