The third preliminary round of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for three-year-old colt and gelding trotters will be the headliner at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Saturday, June 13. Three fields of nine starters will head postward.

Wicker Hanover has drawn Post 3 in the first division (Race 4) for driver Andrew McCarthy and trainer Noel Daley. The Explosive Matter colt is heading into his Saturday test off of a 1:53 win at the Meadows where he converted off a pocket trip.

The Jimmy Takter-trained Walter White will also contest the first division. The son of Cantab Hall finished off the board in his most recent pari-mutuel starts, but he most recently scored a 1:54.3 qualifying win at the Meadowlands Racetrack after having donned trotting hopples. He will have to overcome Post 8 on Saturday. Brett Miller is listed to drive.

The second division (Race 6) will feature 2014 divisional champion Pinkman, who will be looking to extend his seasonal unbeaten streak to three. The gelded son of Explosive Matter has drawn the midpoint of the starting gate for his Saturday test. He will be coupled in the wagering with Whom Shall I Fear, the full brother to Father Patrick, who has drawn Post 7.

Cantab Hall colt Billy Flynn will be making his 2015 seasonal debut as well. He found a great deal of success in the Pennsylvania program last year for trainer Staffan Lind. Brett Miller has been listed to drive.

Miller was behind the Donato Hanover colt Uncle Lasse when that colt exploded to a 1:51.4 win last time out at The Meadows, also making him 2 for 2 in the Sires. Donato Hanover colt Uncle Lasse, the full brother to 2014 Trotter of the Year Shake It Cerry, has drawn Post 7.

First-race post time for Pocono’s 14-dash Saturday card is 6:30 p.m.
