The Pepsi North America Cup eliminations aren’t the only races fans will have their eyes on this Saturday at Mohawk Racetrack. The card also features three eliminations for both the Fan Hanover and Goodtimes Stakes

.

Twenty-two three-year-old trotting colts and geldings will spar in the $30,000 Goodtimes Stakes eliminations, with Blue Porsche leading the way in the opening tilt which goes as Race 1 on Saturday’s program.

The Blair Burgess-trained son of Glidemaster-Machita took home divisional honours in Canada thanks in part to his Canadian record performance of 1:54.1 in last year’s $539,000 Valley Victory Final at Woodbine Racetrack. He’ll take on the likes of recent Gold Series Final runner-up, Sim Brown, and this year’s Dexter Cup champ, Ice Machine.

Last year’s OSS Super Final winner and recent Gold Series Final winner, Daylon Magician, will headline the third elimination for the tandem of owner/breeder/trainer Dave Lemon and driver Jack Moiseyev. The son of Kadabra-Daylon Marvel set a new OSS record for his age, sex and gait in the Gold Series Final at Mohawk on May 30 when he toured the oval in 1:53.2.

He’ll square off with the likes of Onirique, the winner of this year’s Tie Silk Stakes, and Tamarind, who is 2-for-2 to start the season for trainer Mark Steacy.

Twenty-one sophomore pacing fillies were dropped in the box for this year’s Fan Hanover Stakes, and those elims have been carded as Races 2, 11 and 12 on Saturday’s 13-card.

A mouth-watering match-up takes place in the first elimination as See You At Peelers and Idyllic are set to square off in Race 2.

See You At Peelers, the 2010 divisional champ in the U.S., will start from Post 2 for trainer Jimmy Taker, who will look to keep her perfect record intact. She went 13-for-13 as a rookie and is 3-for-3 this season thanks to score in the elimination and final of the Empire Breeders’ Classic at Tioga Downs and more recently the $$307,734 Art Rooney Memorial Pace at Yonkers Raceway.

The daughter of Bettors Delight-West Side Glory will take on Canada’s Two-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year in 2010, Idyllic, who will start from Post 4. The Casie Coleman-trained daughter of American Ideal-Magical Dreamer was a 1:51.1 winner in her first start of the season last weekend at Mohawk Racetrack. Dave Miller, who mapped out that winning trip for the nine-time winner, will get the call again on Saturday night.

The Miss New Jersey champ, Krispy Apple, headlines the second elimination. The daughter of Western Ideal-Apple Krisp drew off to win by three lengths over some of the best New Jersey-breds in 1:50.3. She square off with Pretty Katherine, the runner-up in last year’s Shes A Great Lady Stakes, in addition to O.S.S. star Monkey On My Wheel.

Strike An Attitude and Modern Connection, a pair of big money winners from last year, will face the gate in the third elimination. Both fillies are 0-for-2 to start the season.

Post for the first race on Saturday evening is 7:10 p.m.
