On Monday, June 6, Hanover Raceway announced a brand new series for Ontario-sired pacing colts and
geldings.
July 6 will mark the first leg of the 2011 Mid-Summer Maiden Series for Ontario-sired pacing colts and geldings that are four years of age or younger and are maidens as of June 15, 2011. The final will race on Wednesday, July 13 for a purse of $12,000 (added).
Hanover Raceway is now taking nominations and nom. forms can be found here or in the Hanover Raceway race office. The nomination fee is $100 and entries can be mailed by registered mail to Hanover Raceway, 265 5th St. Hanover, Ontario, N4N 3X3 by Thursday, June 30.
Summer Racing Series About to Kick Off
On Wednesday, June 15, the 2011 Saugeen Claiming Series for pacers will open up with the first division for fillies and mares. The annual series will continue with filly and mare divisions on June 22.
Pacing colts and geldings will compete in Saugeen Claiming Series divisions on Saturday, June 18 and 25.
The finals for the top eight in both the fillies and mares and colts and geldings divisions will be raced on Saturday, July 2 for a $20,000 (added) purse.
