King Tutpankhamen Passes

Trot Insider has learned that stallion King Tutpankhamen passed away on Thursday night at the age of 12 after being admitted to St-Hyacinthe hospital

with a heart problem.

Son of the great Artsplace, and half brother of $1.7 million earner Noble Ability, King Tutpankhamen took a mark in 1:50.1 and was beaten in 1:48.2, earning more than $470,000 in his career. He put together a record reading 24-25-18 in 168 lifetime starts.

King Tutpankhamen's first and only foals will debut on track this summer. Two of his fillies, Lindiana King and Havanna Club, are nominated to the Lucien Bombardier, held at Hippodrome de Quebec later this year.
