Melissa Chandler of Charlottetown, PEI, was the Zoom Challenge winner for June’s “Photobomber” Theme.

A photobomber is someone or something that messes up other people’s photos. You know when you’ve framed that perfect image of your horse and someone walks in front of you, or you’re taking a shot of some friends posing and some one runs in behind and makes a weird face. These people are “Photobombers”.

Melissa took this shot of E LS Colton when Forced To Travel decided to photobomb the shot! The photo was taken at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at CDP. Melissa co-owns Forced To Travel and works as a groom for trainer Gerry Mac Dougall and Judy MacLeod. She became involved in racing three years ago when she met Gerry & Judy through mutual friends.

Melissa is also a regular contributor to the Zoom contests. “I take pictures of everything! I have to keep deleting photos off my phone as I have over 4,000 on it!” she confesses, “Horses are my favourite subject however, and 'Force' in particular. As you can see he's very photogenic.”

Thank you to our other finalists:

  • Sarah Bruce of Truro, Nova Scotia for her photo of Nukamotion photobombed by Brodie Ellis who was hiding behind the haybale and decided to jump out.

  • Tara Spach of Lancaster, Kentucky, for her shot of Bad Girlfriend photobombed by her husband Ken. This shot was taken at Thunder Ridge Raceway, Prestonburg, KY.

Our theme for July will be announced later this week.
