Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville and Hoosier Park Racing & Casino in Anderson are set to host two of the largest, free patriotic celebrations in Indiana.

Indiana Grand’s ‘Star Spangled Grandeur’ will take place on Tuesday, July 3 and Hoosier Park’s ‘Fire It Up on the Fourth’ will take place on Wednesday, July 4. Both nights will feature a free performance by The Duke Boys and an over-the-top, thirty-minute fireworks show choreographed to a wide selection of classic and summer music hits.

Indiana Grand’s family-friendly Star Spangled Grandeur on Tuesday, July 3 begins with live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing at 2:05 p.m. Guests can visit the outdoor welcome center at the race course for free party favours and an opportunity to enter into a ‘Backyard BBQ Blowout’ giveaway sponsored by Family Leisure starting at 6:00 p.m. The Duke Boys will take the outdoor stage at 8:30 p.m., and the choreographed fireworks presentation will begin at 10:00 p.m. Family activities will be available including a game truck, face painting, the world’s tallest Uncle Sam, and Peppermints for Ponies benefiting the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Hoosier Park’s Fire It Up on the Fourth celebration on Wednesday, July 4 will be located outdoors in The Yard, next to Hoosier Park’s racetrack. The event will start with live harness racing at 6:30 p.m. and free family fun and activities beginning at 7 p.m. The Duke Boys performance will begin at approximately 9:00 p.m., following the last harness race of the evening, and the choreographed fireworks show will follow at 10 p.m. A variety of outdoor food and beverage options will be available for purchase at the event. Casino gaming and more food and beverage options will be available inside. Additionally, Club Centaur members have an opportunity to instantly win $1,000 by entering at a promotional kiosk. Both Indiana Grand and Hoosier Park’s fireworks shows will be put on by Ohio-based American Fireworks and will feature 5,800 pounds of explosives with more than 1,700 shells dedicated entirely to the grand finale. Each night, the fireworks will be choreographed to a soundtrack that includes a series of hits from Green Day, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Bruce Springsteen, REO Speedwagon, Marshmello, The Weekend, Maren Morris, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, and more.

“Our team at Centaur Gaming has always been ‘all in’ when it comes to throwing the biggest and best patriotic celebrations for our communities, and this year is no exception,” said Centaur Gaming President and COO Jim Brown. “There’s no better place to spend the Independence Day holiday than with Indiana Grand and Hoosier Park. The memories we’ve made over the years in Shelbyville and Anderson are ones we will treasure forever.”

The Duke Boys, based out of Evansville, Indiana, have been playing ‘50s and ‘60s rock & roll music for nearly four decades.
