OSS Yearling Nominations Due Today

Published: June 14, 2012 01:56 am EDT

The Ontario Sires Stakes Administration would like to remind everyone that Friday, June 15 is the deadline for OSS yearling nominations for 2012.

The regular May 15 deadline was extended in early May and nomination forms were mailed to participants at that time. Anyone who did not receive a form for their yearling can download a blank one from the “Forms” section of the OSS website at www.ontariosiresstakes.com. Alternatively, the yearling’s name can be written on the front of your cheque.

Payments must either bear a postmark not later than June 15 or be delivered in person to the ORC office at 10 Carlson Court, Suite 400, Toronto, ON up until 5 p.m. on Friday.

The nomination payment is $100 ($105 U.S.) per yearling. Owners are also reminded that their yearlings must be registered at the time of nomination or payments will not be accepted. It is recommended that payments be sent by Registered mail so the sender has proof of mailing.

To check if your yearling has already been nominated:
Go to www.ontariosiresstakes.com
Click “Participants” from the menu across the top
Click “Nominated” from the menu on the left hand side
Click the first letter of your yearling’s name
If your yearling’s name appears on the list then it has been nominated to the OSS

All cheques should be made payable and mailed to:
Ontario Sires Stakes
10 Carlson Court, Suite 400,
Toronto, ON M9W 6L2
