Trot Insider has learned that Ontario-sired pacing mare Driving Miss Deo passed away at the age of four.

A third-place finisher in last year's Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Championship, the daughter of Lis Mara has since climbed up to the Preferred ranks at Western Fair Raceway. The cause of her death has yet to be determined.

Driving Miss Deo was owned by Martin and Coral Bardoel's Mossley-based Putnam Training Centre Ltd. and was trained by David Menary and Dan Creighton throughout her career. She earned a lifetime record reading 7-10-9 in 44 starts while banking $123,431 in purses.

Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the connections of Driving Miss Deo.
