Officials with the Hiawatha Horsepark have released information regarding upcoming qualifying and schooling sessions

.

The schoolers will take place on Thursdays at 3:45 p.m. and the qualifiers at 4:15 p.m., weather permitting, during the 2011 meet.

Horsepeople wishing to school their horses can do so by entering their horses the day of the schoolers at the paddock office. Horsepeople looking to enter their horses for qualifying races must do so at the race office before Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. The first 27 horses accepted will be drawn in to qualify.

The track is closed daily with the exception of Thursdays and Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for training, weather permitting.

All horsepeople are advised that approved helmets and safety vests must be worn at all times when on the racing surface.

Also, stalls (for use on race nights) are available at the cost of $75 plus HST per month (horsepeople supply their own bedding and lock). See Dave or Linda in the race office if you would like to rent one.
