The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association (MSOA) has announced a new partner in its Collegiate Scholarship Program.
Fran and Melanie Azur have donated two breedings to world champion Hypnotic Blue Chip, who has a mark of 1:47.2 and earnings in excess of $1.7 million.
“Melanie and I are very pleased to be able to help the youth of our friends in harness racing families," said Fran Azur. "The MSOA Scholarship fund is a great cause and we are pleased to offer two breedings to Hypnotic Blue Chip.”
“The Azur family has long supported racing here at The Meadows,” said MSOA President Rich Gillock. “We are very happy to have them on board with our scholarship program.”
The breedings will be offered to the public by way of a silent auction. Bids must be mailed, faxed or delivered in person to the MSOA office prior to May 31, 2013. The breedings will be offered separately to the two individual highest bids. If you wish to bid on both breedings, please clearly state that in your bid, otherwise it will be assumed that you are bidding on one breeding only. The Hypnotic Blue Chip Scholarship will debut in 2014.
Hypnotic Blue Chip, a son of Art Major, stands at Azur Farms in Beaver, Pennsylvania for a fee of $3,500.
