Trot Insider has learned that Exhibition Park Raceway will be hosting a qualifying session this coming weekend.
The session will take place on Saturday (April 28) and will start at 2:00 p.m. The entry box for the session will close on Friday (April 27) at 12:00 noon.
All owners, drivers and trainers must be a member of the NBSBOA. This year, horses that qualify will be invoiced $50 per horse (the fee will be waived if they race on either May 21 or June 2).
It is important that horsepeople are aware that a Standardbred Canada field representative will be on hand to conduct business.
Standardbred Canada would like to remind all horsepeople that all memberships and eligibility fees need to be paid. Additionally, name changes need to be made before a horse ever qualifies. Coggins tests are required as set out in the rules in your racing jurisdiction.

Additionally, if a horse’s $73 eligibility fee is not paid prior to it making its first start (in a race or qualifier), the horse will be suspended after its first outing in 2018, and the owner of the horse will then be invoiced. For complete information, click here.
