Last Call For Zoom Challenge Selfies

Published: April 21, 2014 11:31 am EDT

Midnight (EST) tonight is the deadline to submit your ‘selfies’ for the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s April Zoom Challenge. May’s Zoom theme is ‘Mares and Foals.’

A selfie is a type of self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a hand-held digital camera or camera phone. We want photos of you and your horse; you at the races; you watching a race; you working around your horse; any photo that you take of yourself doing some activity in harness racing, and it could be as simple as posing with your horse. There are several apps that make taking selfies a piece of cake, such as ‘Cam Me.’

Submit your photos to [email protected].

A committee will select a handful of the best entries, which will be included in a poll on the SC website on April 25. We’ll also post the entries on our Facebook page. Readers will then have the chance to vote for the photo they like the best until 5 p.m. (EST) on April 29. On April 30 we will announce the winner who will receive a great Fan Club Swag Prize package ($50 value). The six monthly winners will be eligible to win a grand prize, which will include a $50 gift card to the racetrack of their choice and an enlargement of their winning photo framed or plaque mounted!
