The California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) has announced that a new Ad Hoc Committee on Racing and Marketing Initiatives will be working with the industry on creative ways to enhance the sport in California.

The committee also will work with the industry in California to find additional incentives to encourage trainers and owners from other parts of the country to race their horses more often in the state.

California Horse Racing Board Chairman David Israel named Vice Chairman Chuck Winner to chair the new committee and named Commissioner Richard Rosenberg a member. They have an open agenda and will be actively seeking input from any source with suggestions that could benefit the California horse racing industry.
