Hiawatha Racetrack will kick off its 2009 season beginning with qualifiers next weekend

The qualifying session will take place Saturday, April 25 starting at 4:00 p.m. Entries will be accepted Thursday, April 23 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m at the race office. The race office can be contacted by calling 519-542-1697 or 519 542-5543 (Ext. 212). Regular qualifying nights will resume Thursday, May 7 at the regular 5:00 p.m. starting time.
Hiawatha is also offering stalls for the 2009 season if there is enough demand. Horses will be put in Barn 2 for a cost of $75, plus taxes.
There are 52 dates planned for the season with the final of the Slots Cup taking place September 12. The Adrenaline horseracing festival will be taking place August 20-23.
