Owners and trainers should remember that the deadline for sustaining payments for Ohio Sires Stakes events is Monday, April 15.
Nominations closed for the 2013 series on February 15, and horses must be sustained with the April 15 payment to maintain eligibility.
The 2013 Ohio Sires Stakes series begins on May 3 at Lebanon Raceway when the sophomore fillies do battle, while the three-year-old males are in the spotlight the following night at Lebanon. The series includes races at Northfield Park, Raceway Park, and Scioto Downs and culminates on Saturday, September 7 with Ohio Super Night, conducted at Scioto Downs.
Sustaining payments in many other important Ohio events for 2013 are also due on April 15. Owners and trainers should check stakes conditions for complete details.
