Dominic Corrado Passes

Horseman Dominic F. Corrado, 87, of Chili, New York, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the age of 87.

Corrado was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and retiree of Rochester Telephone.

He campaigned a small stable of Standardbreds in western New York. He won 18 races and his last drive came in November 1988 at Batavia Downs.

Corrado is survived by his children, Sherry Lipari (Fred Ciaburri) and Russell (Kathy Armstrong); grandchildren, Kelly, Stacy, Toni Marie, Mindy, Jason, Amber and Erica; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Albert (Marilyn); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maryann; and son, Dean.

Visitation took place Monday (March 3) at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday (March 4) at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 220 Coldwater Rd. Interment Holy Ghost Cemetery.
