Grand River Raceway has released some of the details regarding its first Grand Craft & Gift Market, which promises plenty of unique shopping and a touch of the supernatural.

The April 9 market will encompass the entire second floor of the main building at the Elora racetrack. More than 60 vendors will showcase hundreds of treasures, including bath and beauty products, home and garden décor, clothing and accessories, jewelry, original artworks and other one-of-a-kind finds.

Exhibitor Emma Smallbone will host two guest-speaker sessions during the event. Known as The Barefoot Medium, Smallbone is a local spiritual medium, empath and author. She has delivered messages to hundreds of people through private groups, one-on-one sessions and public events. Smallbone will share her learnings from the spirit world during 20-minute talks titled Connecting With Spirit at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Captain’s Quarters Dining Room.

The Grand Craft & Gift Market will run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 9. Admission is free for the entire event.

Random spot prizes of $15 in show bucks will be awarded at 15 minutes past each hour (11:15, 12:15, 1:15, 2:15, 3:15). One lucky shopper will win a gift basket filled with more than $200 in merchandise provided by show vendors.

The OLG Slots at Grand River Raceway also feature a $14.99 Sunday brunch in the Getaway Restaurant (on the main floor) from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
